What the Family Wanted to Achieve
The homeowners wanted to replace a dark rear kitchen with a vaulted open plan kitchen and family living space that captured afternoon garden light while retaining warmth and classic shaker character.
02 · Structural Construction & Engineering
Groundworks, Steelwork & Roof Structure
We excavated and poured insulated trench foundations, erected the cavity masonry shell, and constructed a hand cut vaulted timber roof engineered to house both Velux rooflights and a bespoke triangular gable end frame above the sliding folding doors. Inside, we propped the rear load bearing wall and installed a flush RSJ steel beam to open the footprint completely.
03 · Master Joinery & Interior Finishing
Kitchens, Flooring & Second Fix Woodwork
Our in house master joiners installed the deep navy shaker kitchen, housing twin eye level ovens, an American fridge freezer bank, and a central white quartz island with integrated timber wine racking, finished with warm oak herringbone flooring and internal glazed double doors.
